Primary sources
Climate and electricity inputs should come from NOAA/NCEI and EIA when available. Fallback or seed values must be visible in the record and must never be described as retrieved primary-source data.
Modeled versus measured
Modeled outputs are labeled estimates. Measured results must identify equipment, measurement period, location resolution and relevant operating conditions. Anecdotes do not silently become calibration data.
No hidden precision
ArcticSoak publishes setup scenarios and limitations alongside estimates. It avoids implying that a whole city, product category or household has one exact annual cost.
Commercial separation
Retailer information is separated from research and data pages. Commercial relationships do not change model inputs, rankings or editorial conclusions.
Corrections and versions
Material methodology changes receive a model-version increment. Data releases retain timestamps and source status. Confirmed errors are corrected in the current build and documented when they materially affect interpretation.
